@ Scott, here goes.
1. Restart/refresh your Router at least once a month – self explanatory
2. Create/modify Advancedsettings.XML for buffering.
Go to Program and select Maintenance Tool> Select System Tweaks
Select tuxen XML> System will prompt you if you have backup your XML, Do Not worry just Click Yes.
Select Verify Advanced Settings. This will show you what you have selected, tuxen XML.
Next Select Create/Edit Advanced Settings. Edit Setting> Network Settings> Network (There you will find settings that you can manually adjust)
Buffermode> Select 1 or 0 (When you select this, you may see a word DISABLED, remove DISABLED and input your value)
Cachemembuffersize> Type 209715200 or 157286400. For 209715200, this will create a memory cache of 200mb, which will take up to 600mb of RAM. 157286400will take 450mb of RAM. Your choice.
Readbufferfactor> Type 10 You can go as high as you want but don't go too high, I use 15, for Wi-Fi connection use 20
After changing these setting, select Write XML File, than go back and select Verify Advanced Settings to check if it is okay. You should see “YOU HAVE Verify Advanced Setting SETTING SETUP”.
DO NOT select Zero Advancedsettings XML or have 0 (Zero) value for Cachemembuffersize, the cache is written to your hard drive, can cause increased wear-and-tear to your drive, your drive may die sooner than later.
Every time you modify the XML, you must select Write XML File.
Settings are explained in more detail below:http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Modify_the_video_cache
Now enjoy your video playback without any buffering issues or problems, of course there will be a video that will give you problem, that could be the way the video was encoded by the uploader, but you will not have any problem playing your video smoothly 97% of the times. Good Luck.
Good luck and let me know if this worked for you.
